Researchers in Taiwan have developed a Smart Tooth prototype that monitors jaw movement to track a person’s eating, drinking, chewing and even smoking habits.

The key to the technology is a tiny motion detector, the size of a fingernail, which can be used in a removable fake tooth or inserted into a crown (cap).

Dentists, Physicians, Dieticians and other health specialists can benefit from monitoring patients oral habits. Clinical study results have shown it to be more than 94% accurate in research testing.
