After one year of ending water flouridation, a county in Florida will now fluoridate the water again. The county decided to reinstate the practice, after a 6-1 vote by the board of commissioners.
The county supplies water to some 700,000 people. The decision has sparked controversy, as some believe the move was about politics and power rather than science and public health.
The county will have to pay about $185,000.00 to cover the cost of the change, yet the commissioners predict that customers will not see an increase in their bill.
