According to an ongoing study from the University of Sydney, women in their 40’s are more likely to have dental anxiety than any other age group.

The case controlled study, now in its 5th year, aims to improve dental management for patients with fears, phobias and anxieties related to visiting the dentist.

The study has found that women in this age group are most likely to have perceived a traumatic dental experience, abuse and oral facial trauma.
